When you're looking at this website the university network didn't block my Glasgow pictures. Not that they contain any offensive material but Glasgow certainly is the arch-rival of Edinburgh. Glaswegians say Edinburghians are "snobby", Edinburghians say Glasgow has nothing to offer.
We wanted to see for ourselves and visited Glasgow on Sat, 23rd October. Although we departed early and left late we did only see a small fraction of what Glasgow has to offer and surely will come back as soon as we've seen the rest of Scotland...
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city (Edinburgh is the capital city, though) with almost 600,000 inhabitants and a big metropolitan area. In former times Glasgow used to be famous for their dockyards on the river Clyde. For example Cunard's Queen Elizabeth 2 was built in Glasgow.
