Hi all,
I wasn't expecting so many entries in such a short time, so thanks a lot! As this page is directed to an international audience where not everyone understands German I will translate any German entry in English (leaving the German version online as well) using Altavista's babelfish tool. So decide by yourself if you really want to risk it!!

auch ich bediene mich natürlich (!) der wunderschönen deutschen Sprache! Schön, dass Du uns nun mit Bildern aus Schottland versorgen kannst. Außerdem wusste ich gar nicht, dass nun doch so viele Physiker in Schottland sind - hab mich nur gewundert, dass ich in Wü gar niemanden mehr treffe.

sorry to be korinthenkacking, but 1 pound sterling would be a quid instead of tintenfisch (maybe it derives from tobacco being chewed) and is common in the whole of the UK (or at least in the south of england, as far as I can tell)
but there's good news, too: not to shrink your famous dictionary, add 'brae' = hill/slope (as in "by yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes" of "loch lomond" - famous folk song)
